Abstract

AbstractGlobalization is characterized by the depletion of the boundaries of economic activities between countries and regions. Economic activities becomes a unified process and involves many countries with different values and cultures. Glocalization appears to respond to this in the presence of a global product with a local context. Indomie as an industrial product is a clear evidence of glocalization in globalization, when something globalize then something should be localized. Globalization and glocalization are like two sides in a single coin. Keywords: Globalization, glocalization, Indomie

Abstract

AbstractSummit diplomacy belongs to the head of state or head of government. It will happen when there are crucial problems faced by the countries concerned and directly touch the collective interests of two or more countries involved in the summit. Summit or high-level diplomacy is also a reflection of a quick response by the parties that tends to produce a weighted agenda, so high-level diplomacy is not a series of activities of heads of state or heads of government filled with imaging missions, but rather an important mission for the national interest. One of the most important things of high-level diplomacy is the "ideology" of high-level diplomacy itself, namely the preparation of strategies, coordination and implementation measures aimed at the achievement of targets and objectives. That way, summit diplomacy avoids the blowing winds that pass without meaningful impression to mankind. Key words : diplomacy, summit diplomacy, national interest

Abstract

AbstractThis paper attempts to participate in the literature on the study of social movements and self-help groups operating across national borders. The purpose of this paper is to show a significant gap in the contextualisation of transnational activism between state and community organizations as well as NGOs. This paper will also try to give a new discourse on the issue of political activism in a transnational context. The process of globalization is not only purely economic and political elites. Cross-border interaction among civil society actors (globalization from below) is one of the phenomena in contemporary politics to receive high media and academic attention. When NGOs and social movements not only focus on domestic or local areas but also act across national borders, that is where transnational activity increases. Transnational political activity challenges conventional understanding of civil society and social movements as well as international relations.
